Alison Wellman Smith is a Senior Pre-Award Officer in the Office of Research Administration (ORA) at Harvard Medical School. She has 21 years of experience in research administration between Harvard University and Brigham & Women’s Hospital. She holds a BS in Biology, an MPH with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health, and obtained her Certificate in Research Administration from Emmanuel College. Her work primarily focuses on providing support and assistance to Principal Investigators (PIs) and Grant Managers (GMs) as they prepare proposals for submission to external sponsors. As an Authorized Organizational Representative, she reviews and submits applications on behalf of HMS.
