The HMS Research Administrators Open Forum, hosted by the Office of Research Administration (ORA), shares timely information as it relates to our community. Topics include federal requirements, School and University policy, system enhancements, and new or updated guidance and resources.

Past Open Forum presenters include colleagues from ORA and other HMS and University offices such as the Office for Sponsored Programs (OSP), HUIT’s Research Administration and Compliance Systems, HMS Finance, and the Office for Academic and Research Integrity (ARI). Research administrators, grant managers, financial directors and others are welcome to attend. All are invited to Send Your Suggestions for future Open Forum topics.

Save the date for the next HMS Research Administrators Open Forum on Monday, October 23rd, 11:00AM-12:00PM (EST). During the summer of 2023, the Office of Research & Administration, the Office of Finance, and the Office of Human Resources sponsored a 15-week engagement with Huron Consulting Group to conduct the HMS Research Administration Assessment. Huron conducted a focused evaluation of the HMS departmental operating model and infrastructure supporting research administration and operations. This forum will be an opportunity for the community to hear from our partners at Huron who will share a high-level summary of the report and recommendations.
