FernanBalsalubre is a Senior Grants & Contracts Officer in the Office of Research Administration (ORA) at Harvard Medical School. He is responsible for a wide array of agreements in his portfolio mitigating risk and ensuring compliance with relevant sponsor guidelines and University policies. Prior to coming to Harvard, Fernan worked for the University of California as a principal contract and grant officer, where he reviewed and negotiated industry contracts, nonprofit awards, subaward agreements, government contracts (federal, local, and foreign), and material transfer agreements. He has attended the University of Redlands, Grossmont College, and UC San Diego, and continues his education at the Harvard Extension School.
