Matt Barstow is a Senior Pre-Award Officer in the Office of Research Administration (ORA) at Harvard Medical School. He has 15 years of research administration experience between HMS and the HMS-affiliated Joslin Diabetes Center, specializing in pre-award. His work primarily focuses on providing support and assistance to Principal Investigators (PIs) and Grant Managers (GMs) as they prepare proposals for submission to external sponsors. As an Authorized Organizational Representative, he reviews and submits applications on behalf of HMS. In addition, Matt serves as an Instructor for the Research Excellence in Administration Certificate at Harvard (REACH) Program. He holds a BA from UMass Amherst where he concentrated in English and Journalism.
