Rebekah Coble is the Associate Director, Pre-Award Services, in the Office of Research Administration (ORA) at Harvard Medical School. She manages a team of six Senior Pre-Award Officers, providing oversight and guidance on the proposal review and submission process, and ensuring compliance with University and sponsored regulations. She is also responsible for creating and implementing pre-award business processes and collaborating within HMS and across the University to develop best practices, policies, and procedures. She has over 18 years of experience in research administration, including proposal and award management; review and negotiation of contracts and agreements; and management of database integrity and sponsored account set-up. Rebekah began her career in Harvard’s central Office for Sponsored Programs and has also worked in research administration at Harvard Stem Cell Institute, Tufts University, and, most recently, Dartmouth College. She holds a BA in History and Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
