NIH issued NOT-OD-21-013, Final NIH Policy for Data Management and Sharing (DMS Policy) to promote the management and sharing of scientific data. This policy requires submission of Data Management and Sharing Plans at the time of grant application, effective January 25, 2023. In response, an HMS Biomedical DMP Template Tool has been created. This free, web-based tool assists with creation of funder/university specific plans. The  template provides organization-specific guidance to create a relevant and useful data management plan for grants or other research projects.
