Following the message from Harvard University leadership regarding emerging federal regulations and legislation, an update from the Office of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and guidance from the Office of Research Administration and the Office of Academic and Research Integrity were issued. By now you have likely heard that the OMB (Office of Management and Budget) rescinded the freeze on federal grants and loans. University leadership and the government relations team are closely following and assessing emerging executive orders and directives. Additional information and guidance will be shared as it becomes available. Please reach out to the Office for Research Administration and/or Office for Academic and Research Integrity, for further information or assistance.
UPDATE
In lieu of the various Federal research policy changes, more recently the guidance from NIH targeting a reduction in indirect cost recovery rate (IDC), Harvard Leadership continues to monitor these developments closely. Refer to the OVPR Page for all communications received from NIH and other agencies.
