We’d like to call your attention to the new University-wide course, Export Controls for Administrators. This self-paced, 45-minute course is required for Research Administrators and all other Administrators supporting international activities, specifically if you are requesting access to Visual Compliance for restricted party screening.
This course introduces U.S. Export Control and Sanctions regulations that may affect research, teaching, travel, and international collaborations. It provides an overview of what International Collaborations and Activities (ICA) are and how federal regulatory and sponsor requirements beyond export controls and sanctions may impact international research and other University activities. Lastly, it identifies when to consult your Export Control Administrator (ECA) for review, approval, or further guidance
For questions about the training or to request an accommodation, contact OSPTraining@harvard.edu. For questions on HMS-related International Collaborations and Activities (ICA), contact Lindsay Monahan or Melissa Korf, Office of Research Administration.
