GMAS Subagreement Enhancements Available

Available resources and cutover details

The GMAS Subagreement Workflow enhancements are now available. From this point forward, Departments requesting subagreement and subamendment drafts must do so in GMAS instead of emailing their Central Office. You can expect the following:

  • Reduced reliance on shadow systems/spreadsheets and email 
  • Real time visibility of current status for all subagreements in the GMAS Sub Dashboard
  • Improved “findability” of all subagreement documents
  • Customizable notification options
  • Well-defined statuses, visibility of assignments, and a subagreement history view that supports improved recordkeeping. 

Cutover
ORA (Office of Research Administration) will update subagreements and subamendments that were already in progress as of February 27, 2023. This process should be completed by March 3, 2023. Departments should request drafts in GMAS for anyNEW subagreements or subamendments, as of February 27, 2023 and move them from “Under Development” to “Central Review” by completing “Actions Required” and clicking “Lock and Route.”

GMAS Subagreement Office Hours (Process Support)
Optional drop-in “Office Hours” via Zoom will be offered on the following Wednesday and Friday afternoons. These sessions are not formal meetings or training. Members of the GMAS Subagreement Committee will be available to respond to specific questions about using the new functionality.
