NIH Changes to Faculty Disclosure Requirements

Bookmark the following important resources for researchers and administrators: NIH Other Support documentation for submissions after January 25, 2022:

  • For the latest info on Harvard’s implementation of and guidance for the NIH changes, refer to the OVPR Faculty Disclosure for Federal Funding Agencies website, which includes FAQs, templates, instructions, and links.
  • Help to ensure that any Reporting Individuals who submit Other Support (OS) documents for submissions on or after 1/25/22 have completed the Harvard Training Portal course, “Disclosing Other Support: Guidance for Faculty & Key Personnel” prior to submitting. NOTE: Any HMS Reporting Individuals submitting Other Support documents as part of an RPPR or JIT submission after 1/25/22 MUST have completed the course before ORA can submit the OS.
  • Share the instructions “How to Electronically Sign a PDF” (OVPR webpage) to any Reporting Individuals using the new Other Support form. Harvard is required to retain a certified version of the signed Other Support document, so it is vital that reporting individuals are following proper instructions for electronic signature.
  • Additional resources include PPTs and Recorded Zoom Meetings held last month.
