What is “RA on ARC?” It’s short for the Research Administration (RA) section of the HMS Administrative Resource Connector (ARC) SharePoint site.
 
The vision for RA on ARC is to become a “one-stop shop” for HMS & HSDM research administrators (RAs) as the repository of best practice guidance, tools, tips, links, and other resources to help manage their portfolios.
 
For example, the JOURNAL ENTRY GUIDANCE includes tips for minimizing journaling, what charges should never be journaled, approved naming conventions, links to job aids, and more. The guidance was created by members of the HMS Business Process Working Group, whose members are from 14 HMS and HSDM departments. You can find this guidance and more on RA on ARC. We’ll continue to highlight some of these resources in the RAD.
