The FY 2021-2025 plan is based on a framework of three key objectives, Advancing Biomedical and Behavioral Sciences; Developing, Maintaining, and Renewing Scientific Research Capacity; and Exemplifying and Promoting the Highest Level of Scientific Integrity, Public Accountability, and Social Responsibility in the Conduct of Science. “NIH will [invest] efficiently and effectively in a wide range of basic, translational, clinical, and applied research, while at the same time supporting the workforce and infrastructure required for a sustainable research enterprise.
