The HMS-HSDM PI-Eligible Faculty Effort on Sponsored Awards Policy has been reformatted and revised for clarity. As a reminder, HMS and HSDM academic appointees are expected to charge their salary commensurate with their effort expended on all activities performed within their position. The policy outlines additional requirements that apply to PI-Eligible Faculty. Please review the updated policy and note the Minimum Effort and Maximum Effort Threshold requirements. Exceptions to the 95% sponsored effort maximum must be reviewed and approved in writing by the department chair at least annually, or upon significant changes to effort, and submitted to ORA Research Finance using the Request for Faculty Exception from 95% Maximum Sponsored Effort Policy form.
